About the Author

This paper was written in 2000 or 2001 as a summary of a research project I did while enrolled in the Spirituality, Health, and Medicine Professional Certificate Program at Bastyr University.

My professional background is in Social Work. I have a Master’s degree from the University of Washington, and have worked as a medical social worker at the University of Washington Medical Center and at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
